altr is looking for a visual designer to collaborate with our team and clients to design effective and engaging digital experiences including web and mobile applications, software platforms, and marketing experiences.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with a globally recognized, close-knit team of executive strategists and experience designers.

Our studio Salem, MA and light client travel as needed
Responsibilities include:
Conceptualize and deliver production ready designs for projects across web, mobile, and tablet platforms
Collaborating with internal and client teams on early stage concept development • Capable of leading and presenting work to internal and client teams
Designing low-to-high fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes
Create assets to help facilitate UX research and usability testing
A conceptual powerhouse who delivers world-class solutions across a range of platforms
You have:
1-3 years of experience with a strong aesthetic, a fast design hand, and a thumping digital pulse • Passion for staying abreast of experience design trends
Strong background in universal UX principles
A love for brand
Working knowledge of user interface design best practices, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
Demonstrated experience forging cohesive design language systems and brand guides
Strong sense of craft, type, color, grid, and composition. (Illustration skills a plus)
Proficient in: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, and Zeplin (Principle for Mac a plus)
Understanding of modern web and/or mobile environments such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android UI, and iOS UI, as well as how the technologies of each can be used to further enhance visual design solutions
Self motivated and able to collaborate in a team environment
