You never want to pick favorites among your clients, but if we were to identify a client whose mission most closely aligns with ours at altr, it would be hard to think of a better example than Twine Health.
Twine Health was founded by John Moore: a doctor who became frustrated by the inefficiencies and ineffectiveness of modern healthcare’s paternalistic tendencies. What if, he asked, the system actually trusted patients’ abilities to take care of themselves? What if you could create a system that made a patient’s care team available when the patient had a question or problem, not when there was opening in their clinic’s schedule? What if you empowered patients to have productive conversations with their healthcare providers while living a healthy, active life outside of the doctor’s office?
The answer to all these questions was the Twine App – a collaborative care platform that connects patients with their real-life chronic care team to help them stay on plan and answer questions as they arise, whenever and wherever they do. It’s a simple idea, but one that feels radical in the context of the way healthcare works today. And most importantly, it’s effective: patients using the Twine App have been shown to reach their health goals faster, while avoiding unnecessary office visits.
We are proud to work with Twine because John and his team did what great innovators do: they recognized a problem and created a solution. It’s about questioning the status quo, about respect for the individual, about a mission to improve the lives of everyone who comes in contact with their brand, and it’s the kind of thinking that we like to be a part of with all of our clients at altr.
